- The 2008 Toyota Alphard and the 2008 Toyota Vellfire now feature a new V6 3.5-liter Dual VVT-i (Dual Variable Valve Timing-intelligent) engine that is coupled with 6 Super ECT (Super Intelligent Electronically-controlled, Six-speed Automatic Transmission).
- Equipped with the 2.4-liter VVT-i engine, the 2008 Toyota Alphard and the 2008 Toyota Vellfire now have an increased power output and feature a Super CVT-i (Continuously Variable Transmission-intelligent).
